Born from the success of our sister company, DNA Electrical—which has delivered trusted electrical services on the NSW Central Coast for more than three decades—Solaverse was created to provide a specialised focus on solar energy solutions.

Over the past decade, we’ve installed countless solar systems across retirement villages, shopping centres, schools, and residential homes, solidifying our reputation as industry leaders. Steve Brown

Solar Manager

Steve Brown embarked on his electrical industry career in 2003, serving as an Electrical Technician within the Australian Defence Force. For nearly seven years, he honed his skills in a broad spectrum of electrical tasks, from auto electrical work to generator maintenance. In 2010, Steve transitioned into civilian life, becoming a qualified electrician and quickly immersing himself in the burgeoning field of solar energy. He adeptly handled all aspects of solar installations, from rooftop arrays to complex wiring and inverter setups. Steve’s proficiency earned him leadership positions and eventually the role of a solar designer, where he developed projects ranging from 2kW to 400kW. His entrepreneurial drive then led him to establish his own company before moving to DNA Electrical as an Electrical Estimator, managing largescale quotes up to 1 million dollars. His solar expertise was recognized by DNA directors, leading to his leadership role in Solaverse, which marked a high point in his career.

Jess Thompson

Customer Service

Jess is our Customer Service and logistics champion. Jess will work tirelessly for you so that you have a smooth, hassle free process for the purchase and install of your system. Jess’s background in scheduling work, ordering of materials and communicating with customers is sure to leave you with peace of mind as your system is designed, quoted, and installed by our team.

Chris Lindsay

Solar Roofing Expert

Chris is our Solar Rooftop Expert and is responsible for the safe and effective installation of your PV system onto your roof. Chris’s 15 years experience as a Roofer, coupled with his experience in PV installation insures that your system is installed with the utmost safety in mind and care of your home, which can be your greatest asset. Chris is undertaking his Electrotechnology Course and Solar Course and is a vital part of our install team.

David Mears

Director

David has been in the electrical industry for over 30 years, starting in electronics and communications, electrical engineering, and computer control of systems. David has been a director of DNA Electrical Ptd Ltd for 20 years and understands the intricacies how to run and manage a business, focusing on customer service and great outcomes for our clients. David has designed and installed thousands of PV systems, in age care facilities, schools, commercial premises and homes. Early on in his career David designed stand-alone solar/battery/generator sites for communication towers. As a director, David is front and center at the coal face working on site allowing him to keep connected to each of our valued clients and to the technology at hand.
